Band Member Bios

Gabriela Groves - Lead Vocals

Originating from West Sussex, England, and raised in a musical family, Gabriella has been performing since a very young age. She is currently studying a BMus Popular Music Performance Degree at BIMM London, after moving to London in 2014 to pursue a career within the music industry.

Her sound takes great influence from Soul/Motown, RnB and Pop. Since beginning her studies, Gabriella has had the opportunity to perform at various venues across the UK such as Wembley Arena, Under the Bridge and London Excel as well as performing backing vocals for Ronnie Spector of the Ronettes and Mica Paris she has performed with ACM Gospel Choir and Urban Voices Collective. She has also appeared on BBC1's new show, Pitch Battle as a member of Songbird Sessions.

Richy Jones - Keys / Guitar / BVs

Played the guitar since he was 8yrs old. Grew up idolising virtuoso guitarists like Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour & Jimmy Page. Has performed on numerous occasions at venues such as Shepherds Bush Empire, Ronnie Scott’s, The Blues Kitchen and the O2 Academy. Richy spends his time constantly on a guitar whether it’s teaching, right though to recording sessions. He studying at BIMM London and London College of Music where he moulded his craft into something he could make a living out of which he dreamt of since being a kid.

Jordan Liardon - Bass

Was born in Switzerland and started playing bass at sixteen; he got quickly his hands over his four-string instrument. After playing in different successful bands and playing all over Switzerland he decided to move to London in 2014 to pursue his passion for music. He's been playing in several bands all over London. His main influences are Paul McCartney, Flea, Roger Waters, James Jamerson or Jack Cassidy. Richard Evans - Guitar / BVs

I've been playing guitar for over ten years. Started when I was 9 years old. I've played venues such as Pizza Express, the 02 Birmingham, Rich Mix, The Troy Bar and the 229 club. I've had the chance to jam with a member of Jamiroquai, play on various shows and musicals, play for an orchestra and tour the UK. My main influences are, Greg Howe, Toto and Van Halen.

Matt Hemsall - Drums

Matthew’s career as a musician and drummer started at the young age of 5 where he first picked up the sticks and played in the church his parents attended. It wasn’t long before his musicianship was noticed and he was playing along adults in clubs and bars around his home town at the age of ten. Since then he has been taught from some of the UK’s finest educators and session players, making him the skilled player he is today. After playing in many different band contexts all over the UK and Europe; playing many different styles, he decided to move to the Capital London to further Persue his career as a musician. He studies at one of the UK’s finest schools of music, Tech Music School (now BIMM) and emerged himself among many of the greatest players around to enhance his skills even more.
